Do you want to lead IT and digitalization at one of Sandvik’s key production sites? We are now looking for an IT Manager to join Sandvik Mining – BA Mining IT Countries team in Tampere.

In this role, you will drive local IT operations and IT/OT development at one of our key production sites. You will work closely with business stakeholders and global IT teams to ensure that services deliver real business value and support our ongoing digital transformation. You will play a key role in ensuring reliable IT/OT services while enabling future digital capabilities at the site. You will also be a member of the local management team, contributing to site development and strategic decision-making.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead and develop local IT and OT services to support business operations
• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on IT needs, opportunities and changes
• Ensure alignment between global IT standards, BA Mining strategy and local needs
• Drive and coordinate local IT projects and digital initiatives
• Manage IT service lifecycle (design – transition – operations)
• Coordinate and orchestrate services delivered by internal and external service providers
• Act as the local service integrator, ensuring service quality and business alignment
• Collaborate with global IT delivery teams on supplier and service-related decisions
• Coordinate local sourcing and expert services when required (e.g. application-specific needs or projects)
• Ensure IT security, compliance and implementation of Group standards locally
• Own and manage IT budget, demand and cost control, acting as local service buyer

Your profile

• Relevant degree in IT or a similar field
• Solid experience in IT service delivery in a production or industrial environment
• Experience or interest in OT environments is considered an advantage
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, structured and self-driven way of working
• Fluent communication skills in both English and Finnish
