BURNCO is a leading supplier of construction materials, proudly serving communities across North America. We are committed to quality, safety, and customer service, and we’re building a team that reflects those same values.

Are you a strategic technology leader who thrives at the intersection of IT, operations, and innovation? We’re hiring a Ready-Mix Systems IT Manager for our Texas Head Office to lead the modernization of Ready-Mix systems across multiple plants and markets. If you’re passionate about driving digital transformation, optimizing end-to-end workflows, and mentoring high-performing teams to deliver lasting impact, we want to hear from you.

As the leader driving Ready-Mix systems transformation, you’ll define the roadmap for technology and process innovation across multiple plants and markets. Blending strategic vision with hands-on delivery, you’ll optimize workflows from dispatch to invoicing, modernize digital integrations, and elevate operational performance and customer experience. You’ll also lead and mentor your team team, fostering collaboration and capability building to ensure lasting adoption and success.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and execute a Ready-Mix systems roadmap aligned with operational priorities and customer experience outcomes
  • Identify and deliver technology-driven improvements across Ready-Mix workflows, from quoting and dispatch to delivery tracking and invoicing
  • Lead planning, analysis, and requirements gathering with cross-functional Ready-Mix stakeholders across multiple plants and markets
  • Translate operational needs into scalable solutions such as dispatch optimization, batch automation, and mobile or telematics integration
  • Take accountability for Ready-Mix systems performance, ensuring reliability, integration quality, and user adoption across teams
  • Partner with project managers and operations leaders to execute key initiatives and manage risks, timelines, and deliverables
  • Design and implement change management plans to support adoption of Ready-Mix solutions through communication, training, and post-launch stabilization
  • Act as a change champion to align operations, sales, quality, finance, and IT around standardized best practices while respecting local market needs
  • Collaborate with leadership and plant teams to gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, and align system roadmaps to business goals
  • Liaise with business partners and functional owners to identify pain points and develop continuous improvement plans
  • Provide regular progress updates to executives on transformation initiatives, ROI, and key performance metrics
  • Oversee the integration and modernization of Ready-Mix technologies and ensure system reliability, security, and data quality
  • Define and track KPIs to measure operational performance and customer experience, ensuring sustained results through ongoing feedback

What we would like from you

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership across IT and operations or commercial roles, with proven delivery in Ready-Mix or construction materials (multi-plant, high-volume, time-sensitive environments)
  • Proven business analysis and delivery experience across the Ready-Mix lifecycle, from requirements and process mapping to cutover and stabilization, with emphasis on customer accuracy, visibility, and responsiveness
  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting Ready-Mix systems, including dispatch, batching automation, ticketing, telematics, CRM, ERP/order-to-cash, quality control, and reporting
  • Program and portfolio governance expertise with business case development tied to Ready-Mix outcomes
  • Experienced in leading and sustaining change across plant, dispatch, and field operations, including training, communications, system readiness, and KPI reporting using Power BI and Microsoft 365
  • Upholds high professional and ethical standards in handling confidential information such as pricing, mix designs, performance data, and system credentials
  • Trusted strategic partner who builds credibility, trust, and alignment across teams
  • Strong judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities focused on operational KPIs and customer experience improvements
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PMP certification considered an asset
