Job Description

The IT Manager is responsible for the overall stability, security, and compliance of the casino’s technology environment. This role owns IT operations end-to-end and manages external vendors to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and compliant with gaming and privacy requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

IT Operations & Systems

  • Own day-to-day performance and uptime of all IT systems
  • Coordinate system installs, upgrades, patches, and replacements
  • Act as the primary escalation point for IT incidents and outages
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle management

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

  • Own cybersecurity posture for the casino, including endpoint protection, network security, user access controls, and backup and disaster recovery processes
  • Monitor for security threats and coordinate incident response with vendors as needed
  • Ensure compliance with applicable privacy, data protection, and gaming-related IT requirements
  • Conduct basic risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies

Vendor & Service Provider Management

  • Manage all IT vendors and service providers
  • Define service expectations, monitor performance, and manage escalations
  • Ensure contracts and renewals are tracked and aligned with operational needs

End-User Support

  • Provide practical, prioritized IT support for on-site staff
  • Establish clear support processes and escalation paths
  • Focus on business-critical systems first; non-critical issues handled through vendors where appropriate

Planning, Budgeting & Documentation

  • Manage the IT operating budget
  • Recommend cost-effective solutions and upgrades
  • Maintain documentation for network and systems architecture, security protocols, incident response procedures
  • Provide regular, plain-language updates to the Director of Operations on risks, issues, and upcoming needs

Education and Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years in IT operations or systems management, preferably in a regulated environment
  • Experience supporting technology in a 24/7 operational environment (e.g.: gaming, healthcare, manufacturing, or similar) where system uptime and rapid issue escalation are critical
  • Practical experience with cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Strong vendor management and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable operating independently and setting priorities
  • Able to explain technical risks and solutions in plain language
