IT Manager in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 537154)
The Faculty of Business and Economics is seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to join our team on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. The successful candidate will receive a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of the basic salary.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
• managing and leading the IT team, ensuring effective collaboration, professional growth, and high performance;
• developing and implementing IT policies and procedures to guarantee robust data security and regulatory compliance;
• overseeing the development and maintenance of websites and in-house web applications tailored for master Programmes;
• coordinating and liaising with external vendors for application development, defining functional specifications, and ensuring the quality of deliverables;
• independently collecting user requirements, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), and providing stakeholder training;
• managing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation and financial workflows throughout the entire project life cycle; and
• performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline;
• a minimum of 10 years of solid programming and system development experience;
• proficiency in programming languages including PHP, HTML, JQuery, and Python;
• sound knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and their applications;
• excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
• strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team;
• ability to multitask and deliver satisfactory results within tight timeframes; and
• proven experience in managing IT teams and projects.
