Job Description

The IT Manager will provide operational and technical support across a client’s digital and data platforms, with a primary focus on Medidata Rave, enterprise data platform activities, and operational data oversight The role is hands‑on and critical to study start‑up and ongoing operational support, working closely with a small digital team and following established SOPs.

Key Responsibilities:

Medidata Rave Support

  • Support Medidata Rave activities including user activation for internal users and external CRO users.
  • Manage tickets and interactions with Medidata support.
  • Configure and maintain Rave modules and functionalities, including IRT-related users.
  • Follow SOPs, manage required forms and approvals, and track user activations using Smartsheet.
  • Provide intensive support during study start‑up phases, with reduced effort as studies stabilize.

Enterprise Data Platform (EDP / ADP)

  • Support the implementation and operation of the client’s enterprise data platform.
  • Assist with data mappings between internal sources and the data platform.
  • Identify and support resolution of data quality issues.
  • Perform reconciliation across datasets and systems.

Operational Data Oversight

  • Support ongoing maintenance of the operational data platform collecting CRO data.
  • Perform data quality checks and ensure data integrity.
  • Support transition activities toward Viva CTMS.
  • Ensure alignment of operational data with enterprise data platform activities.
  • Support planned activities expected to initiate later in 2026.

Collaboration & Governance

  • Work closely with a small internal digital team.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across digital, data, and clinical operations.
  • Operate within existing governance frameworks and SOPs.

Experience (Minimum Required):

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Medidata Rave.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with business stakeholders and navigate across conflicting priorities to balance critical tactical and strategic needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with a variety of audiences and stakeholders including executive management, business leaders, IT peers, and colleagues.
  • Strategic thinker, with demonstrated ability to work in a broad and top-down manner with a fair amount of ambiguity at the center.
  • Results-orientation with the proven ability and reputation for developing plans and implementing them successfully.
  • Self-directed, self-motivated, and driven who can fill in the gaps as to what is needed, and to drive expected results.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Experience in the Pharma/CRO/Life Sciences space.
  • Experience with managed service providers.
