Position DetailsTasks:
Lead, coach, and develop team members through regular 1:1s, performance management, and skills building to ensure a high performing, consistent IT support team
Serve as the technical escalation point for complex or unfamiliar incidents, ensuring rapid, high quality resolutions
Maintain oversight of infrastructure health and security operations, including Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, endpoint protection, and phishing response, to ensure a secure and reliable environment
Identify broken or missing processes, design and implement improvements, and document workflows to create repeatable, efficient operations.
Develop and maintain IT runbooks, processes, and documentation to reduce reliance on institutional knowledge
Support the migration from hybrid Active Directory to Microsoft Entra ID with accurate execution and minimal disruption
Implement process and technology changes that align with business requirements and improve operational effectiveness
Support adoption of AI driven tools and automation, including Tier 0 self service options, to enhance IT service delivery
Ensure timely, high quality IT support for employees, including new hire onboarding and equipment provisioning
Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reporting to track and measure team performance
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements and ensure IT solutions meet business needs
Coordinate with vendors and service providers, applying technical judgment to evaluate recommendations, negotiate scope, and ensure value
Participate in IT budget planning and vendor selection to support departmental priorities and company objectives
Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning to help the organization maintain operations during unexpected disruptions
Handle employee relations matters with discretion, following managerial policies to conduct disciplinary conversations, resolve complaints, and reduce employment related risk
Required Skills & Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in IT systems, networking, or security administration
5+ years in a people management role
Experience with Active Directory to Entra ID migrations
Knowledge of identity management, MFA, endpoint protection, and security operations
Familiarity with network technologies (VLANs, VPN, firewalls) and ITIL or equivalent frameworks
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain operational infrastructure from scratch such as documentation, workflows, training materials, and internal tools
Basic familiarity with AI concepts and tools; comfortable working alongside teams building AI-driven solutions
Reliable work ethic and self-motivated to complete tasks independently
Highly organized, with excellent time management skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively, with a systematic problem-solving approach
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Works well in a team, and can manage a team effectively
Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Proven leadership abilities, including ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in difficult situations
