The Mission

Leidos is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead an IT Logistics Team on a large enterprise IT contract for the Department of Defense. This role requires expertise in program/project management for a large complex project. The IT Logistics Project Manager will provide oversight of projects providing tech refresh of desktop equipment for major government facilities and manage the Project Team consisting of Installation Technicians, Data Analysts and Material Managers.

Primary Tasks:

  • Serve as primary point of contact to the Contractor Program Manager and Government Customer for all Tech refresh issues, concerns, and status.
  • Manage all aspects of the Tech Refresh team – Installation, Data Analytics, and Material Management.
  • Create, maintain, and update schedule for all Tech Refresh Projects.
  • Communicate schedule dependencies or delays with Contractor Program Manager and Government Customer.
  • Collect Tech Refresh Project Metrics (e.g. Installations complete, equipment on site) and provide to Government Customer on a weekly basis.
  • Provide Weekly Status Briefing for Government Customer.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies in the Tech Refresh process and share efficiencies with the Government Customer.
  • Provide clear roles and responsibilities to Deputy Manager and other Tech Refresh team members.
  • Provide mentoring and support to Tech Refresh team to ensure they are meeting Government expectations.
  • Review all Tech Refresh deliverables prior to delivering them to Government Customer.
  • Act as manager for Tech Refresh employees and ensure the team has the correct skillsets.
  • Be a positive influence and mentor to employees on the Tech Refresh Team.
  • Travel to government facilities in the National Capital Region is required while Tech Refresh team is doing Installation Projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management, team leadership and employee management.
  • Knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability to perform independently in the position.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally from informal one-on-one discussions or in a group environment.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, ability to handle multiple tasks at once (multi-task).
  • Strong leadership and accountability skills with a focus on delivering results.
  • Strong ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations, including schedule management.
  • Proven experience with MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word.

Education:

  • Requires a BA degree and 15+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 13+ years of prior relevant experience
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Clearance:

  • Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
  • TS/SCI with Poly required for Position or TS/SCI and willingness to obtain and maintain a poly.


Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Certification
  • Experience managing IT Tech Refresh Projects

Pay Range:

Pay Range $139,100.00 - $251,450.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
