Job Description

Position Overview & Responsibilities: The Information Services Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the technology needs of Christensen Farms. This internship provides exposure to a variety of IT functions, including technical support, systems administration, business applications, and technology projects. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, curious, enjoys solving problems, and is interested in building a career in Information Technology.

Major Areas of Accountabilities include:

  • Assist with the administration, maintenance, and support of enterprise applications and business systems.
  • Support application testing, upgrades, implementations, and documentation to help ensure systems meet business needs.
  • Monitor application performance and assist in troubleshooting issues to promote reliable and efficient system operations.
  • Help gather, organize, and analyze data to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Information Services team members and business stakeholders to understand technology needs and process improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations used for business decision-making. · Participate in technology projects and gain exposure to system integrations, business processes, and enterprise applications.
  • Support vendor management activities by assisting with software licensing, documentation, and coordination of vendor-provided services.

Education, Training, and Experience Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field; junior-level students are preferred.
  • Strong interest in information technology and a desire to gain hands-on business experience.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking concepts.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications preferred.
