Our IT Property Management and Development (PM&D) Department is integral in designing and delivering innovative business solutions using the latest technologies. The department supports a wide range of technologies critical to our business partners and property management teams. These include essential business applications, physical network infrastructure, digital advertising platforms, and security systems. The PM&D Team is an essential piece of our department. The individuals on this team are creative thinkers who are always trying to find ways to improve business processes, and IT functions. As the bridge between IT and the business, the team delivers significant value by driving efficiency improvements.

We’re looking to add a PM&D IT Intern (Analyst) this Summer who will assist the team with various projects related to inventory tracking systems, physical network infrastructure installations and mapping, and emergency phone line migrations. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with leading systems, applications, and technologies while deepening your understanding of business and IT processes at a leader in real estate operations. As a member of our PM&D team, you will be asked to engage with business partners to understand needs and translate into technology driven property management solutions. The ideal candidate has demonstrated through coursework or employment the ability to learn and implement technical solutions while demonstrating process driven thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate ability to learn through independent study under the guidance of senior PM&D team members.

  • Pair program with a mentor to learn IT infrastructure design and supporting systems.

  • Interview IT and Business process owners to document As-Is processes. Work with senior team members to assess those processes to find opportunities for improvement.

  • Contribute to the development of a system for tracking property assets to support informed capital planning decisions.

  • Support the validation and updating of property technology maps using AutoCAD.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure cross-functional issues, tasks, or projects are coordinated and completed with a sense of urgency and a high level of customer service.

  • Translate technology into business language for communication with nontechnical stakeholders.

  • Implement secure technology practices and periodically evaluate security risks and vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

  • High School or GED Required

  • Demonstrated coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other IT related fields.

  • Senior in current field of study – Graduation Date between December 2027 and May 2028.

  • Ability to demonstrate a process mindset and analytical thinking.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.

  • Independent or school project work that demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

  • Salary type: Non-Exempt

  • Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly

  • Hourly Compensation: $22.50
