Position Summary

Put your technology skills into practice at Nemacolin, where technology plays a critical role in creating exceptional guest, member, and associate experiences across a complex luxury resort environment. As an Information Technology Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to end-user support, hospitality technology, networking, systems administration, technical problem-solving, and emerging technologies while learning how reliable, responsive technology enables seamless daily operations. This paid, full-time internship gives you the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a dynamic, Forbes- and AAA-rated resort environment, work alongside experienced IT professionals, and complete an experiential project aligned with your academic learning objectives.

What You Will Create

  • Seamless technology experiences by serving as a trusted first point of contact for associates, management, and resort guests experiencing technical challenges, providing thoughtful support that keeps their day moving smoothly
  • Effective solutions to technology challenges through troubleshooting common hardware, software, application, and network connectivity issues, including support for Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 11
  • A responsive IT support experience by providing phone-based technical assistance, accurately documenting work orders, and coordinating timely technician support when an issue requires additional expertise
  • Reliable connectivity throughout the resort by assisting with the installation and removal of telephone and data cabling when needed
  • Secure and organized system access by creating, modifying, and disabling user accounts across various systems while supporting the department’s operational needs
  • Meaningful professional growth through an experiential project focused on an internship-specific learning objective, giving you the opportunity to connect academic concepts with real-world technology challenges in luxury hospitality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Current second- or third-year student enrolled in an accredited collegiate IT, computer science, or related program, with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • At least one year of experience with LAN/WAN technologies
  • Commitment to a consecutive 12-week internship, as required by the intern rotation
  • Continuous authorization to work in the U.S. for the duration of the internship
  • Ability to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
