
The IT Intern is part of our IT department, which resides on the Support Services team and reports to the IT Support Manager. As our IT Intern, you will help end users be successful, secure, and productive using the technology assets provided to them by CIS. This internship is temporary, working up to 29 hours per week. There is an expectation of a 12-month commitment to this role, and the Intern must be available for the full duration of the internship.
This role requires on-site work from our Clifton Park office.
What You'll Do:
Provide outstanding customer service to all end users
Ensure security best practices are central to decision making
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and technology issues
Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance
Categorize and track IT inventory stock
Load and configure all required software including office applications, e-mail, anti-virus, and internet programs
Perform other duties as required including lifting objects of up to 50 lbs
Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Enrollment or study in Information Technology, or past experience support IT teams
Be familiar with common PC and Mac hardware and software packages
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
Must be authorized to work in the United States
