Payment & Settlement Services (PSS) is part of ING's CTO domain. PSS manages the generic part of the payment value chain from a business, operational and tech perspective. The PSS mission is to become a professional service provider in payments, settlements, and open banking, with focus on delivering quality and efficiency, leveraging our world-class scalable payment-, settlement and open banking solutions and the expertise of our people.

The execution plan is based on four strategic steps

• Mature PSS as a professional service provider
• Implement foundational change projects to enable volume consolidation
• Drive internal volume consolidation
• Consider external options for further scale growth

The Team

As an IT Integrator- Feature Engineer, you will be a key player in the cooperation

between IT and Business stakeholders. You drive to make complex changes happen within and across Tribes. Your holistic view as well as your knowledge of both Business and IT are crucial in translating business requirements into business value. You align between squads – from the same or different Tribe(s) – and other parts of the organization and manage dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

Interpretation of business rules and functional and non-functional requirements to define technical specifications based on an architectural design provided in terms of design methodology.

• Participates and cooperates in shaping activities, participates in feasibility
• analyses for new or upgraded initiatives (Epic and User Story) assessing the
• impacts for IT as well as participating and supporting developers in the
• development phase
• Performs detailed, functional and technical analysis/design
• Test support and problem determination
• Collaborates in defining new suppliers and contractual requirements
• Breaks down requirements and technical solution into appropriate section(User Story) examining costs, benefits and risks of various options before selecting an approach; explanation/justification of decisions in a logical and systematic manner

As an IT Integrator you will need:

• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Understand both the technical parts of the application chain and the customer
• point of view
• Experience with complex IT Chains
• Experience with cross cultural and cross time zone collaboration.
• Excellent problem solving skills to find creative ways of driving progress and
• removing impediments
• Experience with project governance, including implementation plans, status
• reports, deployment runbooks, test pan and coordination and project closure.
• Experience with Payments (preferably SEPA Credit Transfer)
• Experience with Finance processes
• Experience to explain complex issues in an easy way and get people on
• board
• Analytic skills for aligning end-to-end solutions
• Extensive experience in IT as an (agile) project manager in a complex and
• challenging IT environment
• The ability to provide insight in highly complex situations by translating them
• into a digestible format to be presented to your stakeholders.
• The ability to easily switch between details and a high-level overview.
• A master degree in IT (Engineering) or equal by experience
• Experience in ING and/or financial industry (preferred)
• Experience with the agile way of working
• A team player mindset, with a 'make it happen' mentality, eager to learn and
• the ability to coach others
• Strong communication skills (in Dutch and/or English) and strong presentation
• skills (telling – selling) across different skill and seniority levels
