We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure systems Team Leader to lead a global team of system engineers responsible for maintaining and evolving our on‑premise and cloud infrastructure. This role requires a strong technical foundation in Windows environments, hands‑on leadership, and the ability to drive operational excellence across complex enterprise systems.

As a Cognyter you will:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of system experts (Windows, virtualization, cloud, and infrastructure engineers).
• Manage daily operational tasks, prioritization, planning, and workload distribution.
• Build a culture of accountability, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the stability, performance, and lifecycle of on‑premise infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, ProxMox), and storage (Netapp).
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or equivalent), including identity, compute, storage, and monitoring.
• Ensure high availability, resilience, and reliable system performance across environments.
• Serve as the organization’s primary expert for Windows Server, Active Directory / Entra ID, GPO, and core Microsoft infrastructure services.
• Work closely with security teams to implement system‑level policies, endpoint protections, and security configurations.
• Manage service accounts, documentation, operational procedures, and incident response routines.
• Proactively monitor system health, capacity, and performance trends.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
• Partner with Networking, Cloud, Security, Applications, and Helpdesk teams to support business needs.
• Work with vendors and external partners as needed for escalations and projects. 

Requirements

Requirements:

• Expert-level experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, GPO, and related infrastructure technologies.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, including hands‑on operational work.
• 3+ years of experience leading a systems or infrastructure team.
• Strong background in both on‑premise and cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, ProxMox, KVM, OpenShift).
• Knowledge of automation/scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience managing complex technical incidents.
