Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to design, implement, and manage the infrastructure architecture supporting a large-scale digital platform ecosystem, including the Open Data Portal, API Gateway, ETL Layer, AI/ML Repository, and associated platform services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and maintaining highly available, secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure environments across production, staging, testing, and disaster recovery (DR) environments. This role requires expertise in cloud platforms, networking, virtualization, container orchestration, storage systems, infrastructure security, monitoring solutions, and disaster recovery planning in accordance with SOW 4.1–4.8
The ideal candidate will have proven experience delivering infrastructure solutions for large-scale digital platforms, government systems, or enterprise environments while ensuring operational excellence, business continuity, and security compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Architecture & Design
- Design and implement enterprise infrastructure architecture supporting digital platforms and data ecosystems.
- Define infrastructure standards, frameworks, and deployment models.
- Architect scalable and resilient environments across production, staging, testing, and disaster recovery sites.
- Design compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure components.
- Ensure infrastructure aligns with business, operational, security, and performance requirements.
Cloud & Platform Infrastructure
- Design and manage cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Support deployment and operation of cloud services, virtual machines, storage services, and networking components.
- Optimize infrastructure utilization, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Develop infrastructure automation and provisioning strategies.
- Ensure platform readiness for future growth and evolving business needs.
Containerization & Orchestration
- Design and manage containerized infrastructure environments.
- Implement container orchestration platforms to support scalable application deployments.
- Support workload management, resource allocation, and platform scalability.
- Maintain platform reliability and operational performance within containerized environments.
Network & Security Management
- Design secure network architectures and connectivity solutions.
- Configure and manage firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and network security controls.
- Ensure secure access management and compliance with organizational security policies.
- Implement infrastructure security best practices, hardening standards, and vulnerability management procedures.
- Collaborate with security teams to address infrastructure risks and compliance requirements.
High Availability & Disaster Recovery
- Design and implement high-availability infrastructure solutions.
- Develop disaster recovery strategies and business continuity plans.
- Manage backup, restoration, failover, and recovery processes.
- Conduct disaster recovery testing and readiness assessments.
- Ensure minimal downtime and maximum service availability.
Monitoring & Performance Management
- Implement infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Monitor system health, capacity utilization, and performance metrics.
- Identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks and operational issues.
- Optimize infrastructure performance and resource utilization.
- Prepare operational and infrastructure performance reports.
Project Delivery (SOW 4.1 – 4.8)
- Collaborate with architects, software engineers, data engineers, integration specialists, and project stakeholders.
- Support infrastructure planning, implementation, migration, testing, deployment, and operational readiness activities.
- Ensure all infrastructure deliverables meet security, availability, scalability, and performance requirements.
- Contribute to project documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational handover activities.
Basic Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
