What You’ll Do
The IT Infrastructure & Operations Lead is responsible for the reliability, security, and continuous improvement of the Company's core infrastructure systems. The role serves as a senior technical resource for complex infrastructure issues, leads technical improvements, and provides guidance and knowledge transfer across the IT function.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Enterprise Infrastructure Administration & Reliability (25%)
Administers and optimizes enterprise server, cloud, and infrastructure systems to maintain reliable, available, and supportable technology services. Resolves complex infrastructure issues and manages system capacity, lifecycle, and performance requirements.
2. Identity, Access & Endpoint Management (20%)
Administers enterprise identity, authentication, access, and endpoint management platforms to support secure and appropriate access across the organization. Maintains user and vendor access, endpoint configurations, patching, and compliance requirements across corporate systems.
3. Backup, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity (15%)
Maintains backup, recovery, and disaster recovery capabilities that support system resilience and business continuity. Ensures recovery procedures are documented, tested, monitored, and capable of supporting critical business operations.
4. Technical Leadership & Knowledge Transfer (15%)
Serves as a senior technical resource and escalation point for complex issues. Provides technical guidance, mentors less experienced staff, maintains technical standards and documentation, and promotes knowledge transfer across the IT function.
5. Operational Technology Infrastructure Support (10%)
Supports secure identity, access, and infrastructure services within plant and operational technology environments. Coordinates with Information Security, network resources, plant stakeholders, and third-party vendors to support controlled and auditable access to OT systems.
6. Infrastructure Security & Compliance (10%)
Maintains secure infrastructure configurations and partners with Information Security to address technical risks, security findings, and applicable regulatory or contractual requirements. Supports infrastructure controls and evidence required for compliance programs.
7. Automation & Infrastructure Improvement (5%)
Improves infrastructure reliability, efficiency, and supportability through automation, scripting, standardization, technology evaluation, and lifecycle planning. Recommends and implements improvements that reduce technical risk and strengthen infrastructure capability.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensures execution of work aligns to company standards
2. Monitors workflow, quality, and productivity within the team
3. SME and first point of contact for questions/escalations
4. Supports onboarding and training new employees
5. May provide input into discipline/performance feedback but does not conduct disciplinary actions or formal performance evaluations
6. Identifies day-to-day process inefficiencies and suggests improvements to management to enhance team productivity and quality
7. Uses and communicates performance metrics to monitor work output, accuracy, and turnaround time, ensuring data integrity.
Who You Are
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and directly related professional experience.
• Eight (8) or more years of progressively responsible experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or a related information technology discipline.
• Extensive experience administering Microsoft enterprise environments, including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, and Windows Server.
• Experience supporting enterprise identity and access management, endpoint management, patch management, backup and recovery, and infrastructure security.
• Experience resolving complex infrastructure issues and supporting business-critical systems with a high degree of independence.
• Experience with operational technology/industrial environments or compliance-driven environments such as CMMC or NIST 800-171 is preferred.
• Relevant Microsoft, infrastructure, cloud, security, or related technical certifications are preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor less experienced employees and promote effective technical documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise systems administration and Microsoft infrastructure technologies.
• Thorough knowledge of identity and access management, endpoint management, patching, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and infrastructure security.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve highly complex infrastructure issues using advanced technical judgment.
• Ability to evaluate technical risk, system performance, capacity, and lifecycle requirements and develop effective recommendations.
• Ability to use PowerShell or related scripting tools to automate administration, maintenance, and diagnostics.
• Ability to independently lead complex technical initiatives and influence decisions without formal supervisory authority.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Work is performed primarily in an office environment with periodic work in manufacturing or plant environments.
• Extended periods of computer work are required.
• Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when entering designated manufacturing areas.
• Schedule flexibility is required to support system maintenance, outages, upgrades, incident response, and other business-critical infrastructure needs.
• Participation in scheduled after-hours, weekend, and on-call infrastructure support is required.
