As part of DTIT (Digital Transformation & Information Technology) organization, the DBA engineer :

Manages his/her assigned infrastructure components, ensuring continuous support & service delivery in line with the agreed Operational Level Objectives

Is responsible for the operations & monitoring of secure and highly available infrastructure components as well as maintaining the ongoing reliability, performance and support of the infrastructure

Key accountabilities & Responsibilities:

1. PLANNING

Plans for the right level of availability & performance of database services

Collects requirements and suggest adequate solutions

Participates to different phases of a (local or central) project and contributes to project execution

2. EXECUTION

Ensure the availability of all database systems supporting business solutions:

Deploy database monitoring solutions and provide documentation and training to Level 1 team & users

Responsible for technical projects deployment

Responsible for risk assessment of components in network scope.

3. INCIDENT / PROBLEM/ CHANGE MNGMT / MONITORING

Qualifies and fixes Level-2 & 3 incidents (including via duty) and problems based on pro-active monitoring or issues reported by users

Technical processing of database requests

Responsible for systems security & license use to meet compliance

Comply with OLA/SLA requirements

Finding root causes of problems & Interrupts

4. EXPERTISE

Acts as the technical liaison between operations, service and project management teams and architects, providing critical operational insight to upcoming implementations and strategies, including validation of ongoing solutions supportability

Participates in the design, implementation, and execution projects for “run” phase. This includes backup and disaster recovery plan for database solutions

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area
  • Strong Expertise in Database Administration : Oracle,SQLServer,MariaDB, Oracle Golden
  • Experience on Backup/Restore, replication and Disaster recovery : RMAN, Oracle Golden Gate, SQLServer replication, mariadb replication
  • Advanced knowledge of Database architecture design, implementation, and support
  • Experience on database monitoring, performance and troubleshooting/analysis tools : Oracle Entreprise manager, AWR/ASH/ADDM analysis, SQLServer profiling, …
  • Team worker with strong communication skills
  • Excellent time management & prioritization skills, agile.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • French, English spoken and written.
