Job Description

The IT Infrastructure Lead (individual contributor) is responsible for establishing the technical foundation that enables Nutrinova to operate independently and securely following the carve‑out under the SAKURA program.

The role ensures that Nutrinova has a reliable, resilient, and compliant IT infrastructure supporting business operations, regulatory obligations, and future growth ambitions. This includes designing and implementing a modern infrastructure landscape suitable for an international, regulated manufacturing environment.

Beyond the delivery of infrastructure services, the position plays a key role in building the future IT operating model. By the end of the SAKURA program in 2027, the role contributes directly to establishing a fully functioning, sustainable, and business‑aligned IT department for Nutrinova.

Responsibilities

YOU will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Design, build, and roll out Nutrinova’s standalone IT infrastructure as part of the SAKURA carve‑out program.
  • Define and implement the target infrastructure architecture covering workplace, network, hosting, cloud, and security services.
  • Ensure stable and secure IT operations during the transition from the current parent‑company environment to a standalone setup.
  • Lead greenfield infrastructure initiatives, including site connectivity, data centers/colocation, and cloud services.
  • Establish and manage infrastructure service providers, outsourcing partners, and technology vendors.
  • Ensure appropriate levels of cybersecurity, risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery across all IT services.
  • Implement IT service management processes (e.g. incident, change, and service delivery management) suitable for a lean IT organization.
  • Guarantee compliance with regulatory, security, and data protection requirements applicable to Nutrinova’s industry.
  • Act as the infrastructure counterpart to SAP and Non-SAP application teams, ensuring integrated and reliable end‑to‑end IT services.
  • Provide transparent reporting on infrastructure performance, risks, and costs to senior management.
  • Support the definition of IT governance, standards, and operational models for the future IT department.

Qualifications

What YOU will bring to the team:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Proven track record as an IT Infrastructure Lead in international environments
  • Strong experience designing and rolling out greenfield IT infrastructures.
  • Hands-on experience with colocation, on-premises, and cloud hosting models (hybrid infrastructures).
  • Solid networking expertise for multi-site environments with strict segregation and security requirements (e.g. VLANs, VPN, SD-WAN).
  • Demonstrable competencies in IT security, risk management, service resilience, and disaster recovery.
  • Ability to interact confidently with executive management and board-level stakeholders.
  • Self-starter mentality with high levels of ownership, initiative, and delivery focus.
  • Strong vendor, contract, and service provider management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to define sustainable infrastructure target landscapes and guide vendors and partners with sufficient technical depth, while reporting transparently to senior stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of IT operating models, ITSM frameworks, and enterprise architecture concepts.
  • Strong general cybersecurity awareness and understanding of security-by-design principles.
  • Fluency in English
  • Natural authority combined with a pragmatic and hands-on leadership approach.
  • Comfortable operating in lean organizations with clear accountability.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in service-driven or managed-service-oriented IT organizations.
  • Exposure to carve-outs, mergers & acquisitions, or organizational transformations is highly desirable.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as food, pharma, or chemicals is a strong advantage.
  • Technical knowledge in unified communications and telecommunications (e.g. Microsoft Teams telephony, SIP, PSTN).
  • Formal cybersecurity qualifications or certifications are a plus.
  • Solid understanding of information security principles and their practical implementation.
