Job Description

At Jonsson Workwear, reliable, secure technology is critical to keeping our business connected and operating at its best. We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our Technology Team and help maintain, secure and improve the infrastructure that supports our stores, distribution facilities, manufacturing operations and support teams.

Working closely with the Infrastructure Lead, IT support teams and technology partners, you'll play a key role in ensuring our network, server and security environments remain resilient, available and ready to support business growth.

The Infrastructure Engineer who supports our business will be required to:

  • Administer and maintain network infrastructure, connectivity services and security platforms across the business.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, availability and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Manage routing, switching, firewall, VPN, server and virtualisation environments.
  • Support cloud and hybrid infrastructure services and maintain core infrastructure technologies.
  • Monitor and strengthen infrastructure security through patching, access controls and vulnerability remediation.
  • Manage backup, recovery and disaster recovery processes to support business continuity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents, performing root-cause analysis where required.
  • Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, standards and recovery procedures.
  • Follow governance, change management and security processes to ensure compliance and operational stability.
  • Provide escalation support to stores, depots and IT support teams.
  • Contribute to infrastructure projects, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with technology partners and service providers to deliver reliable infrastructure services.
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance, resilience, security and operational efficiency through best-practice solutions and automation.

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Networking, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience supporting business-critical network, firewall, and server environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise routing and switching, firewalls, VPNs, Windows Server, virtualisation, monitoring, and backup technologies.
  • Experience supporting multi-site, manufacturing, retail, or similar operational environments will be advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications such as Fortinet, Cisco, Microsoft, Azure, VMware, Nutanix, or Veeam are advantageous.
  • The ability to travel to company sites and data centre locations when required.
  • Availability for planned after-hours maintenance and reasonable standby or emergency support arrangements.
  • The ability to work safely in server rooms, communications rooms, factories, and other operational environments.
