Consulting is an employee-owned, independent, international mining consulting practice,
providing integrated consulting services to the international resource sector. Our Australian consulting practice has 150 staff across 5 office locations who are provided IT support from our West Perth head office.

The Position:

The IT Helpdesk Officer plays a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance to our staff across our Australian offices. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and enhancing user experience. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, maintaining equipment, and delivering exceptional customer service to support our organisational goals.

Responsibilities:

• 1st and 2nd level helpdesk support resolving IT problems via teams, phone, email, and in-person.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.

Support of current Windows OSes and Microsoft office suite.

• Knowledge of SharePoint, Teams, Endpoint and PowerShell preferred

• Assist in the setup and configuration of IT equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in the helpdesk system.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate complex issues as needed.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on IT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Educate users on best practices for IT security and software usage.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Formal Qualifications in Information technology and/or current Microsoft certifications.
• At least 2 years experience in an IT support role.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Good work ethic and highly reliable.
• A high level of initiative and desire to deliver a quality outcome to your colleagues.
