Salary: R29 000 – R32 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring an IT Helpdesk Agent for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa.

Role overview

You'll be the first point of contact for a UK team's IT issues, troubleshooting problems and keeping people working.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-line support for hardware, software and account issues
• Log, track and resolve tickets in the helpdesk system
• Reset passwords and manage user access via Active Directory
• Escalate complex issues to second-line support
• Document fixes and update the internal knowledge base

What you'll need

• Experience with Active Directory and user account management
• Experience in a first-line IT support or helpdesk role
• Comfort troubleshooting common hardware and software issues
• Reliable home internet and a quiet space for UK-hours work
• Clear communication when explaining fixes to non-technical users

Nice to have

• Familiarity with remote support tools
• Experience with ticketing systems such as Zendesk or Freshdesk
• A relevant IT certification

A permanent, fully remote role with a UK employer, working 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST), with room to grow into second-line support.
