Reports to: Field IT Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Select Water Solutions IT Field Technician provides first-level troubleshooting and basic technical support to end-users. Assisting with computers, mobile devices, printers, network related equipment, and camera installs and set up. This position will preferably be fluent in the Spanish language.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to

  • Responsible for covering IT responsibilities for the Permian region (Mainly Southern New Mexico, but also West Texas when needed).
  • Assist users with all hardware and software issues.
  • Maintains IT Network closets and storage rooms.
  • Install and also unninstall equipment, on site and in field.
  • When a solution isnt readily available, will need to escalate or group source a solution.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle in accordance with Select’s policies.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Requires an associate's degree or relevant “On the job” experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of related work experience is preferred.
  • Scissor and Boom lift certification preffered (this can be learned on the job).
  • Customer service: able to interact with users in a professional manner.
  • Ability to find solutions to technical issues.
  • Ability to identify and search for resolutions.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Compensation Information

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Physical Demands and Exposures

  • Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
  • Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, walking
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to individually lift: Maximum 50 lbs
