Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all IT assets, including hardware, peripherals, and network equipment, across Boston and Detroit locations.
• Implement and enforce asset management procedures, ensuring all equipment is properly labeled, tracked, and recorded in the asset management system.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and accountability.
• Coordinate monthly travel to the Detroit site to collaborate with on-site IT technicians and provide hands-on support.
• Assist in identifying, tagging, and documenting all newly deployed equipment.
• Manage the decommissioning process by properly documenting retired assets and ensuring devices are prepared for recycling or secure destruction in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with IT teams to support deployments, relocations, and infrastructure updates.
• Identify process improvements to enhance asset tracking efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for asset-related inquiries and reporting.
Supportive Functions
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of DO&CO.
• Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations.
• Store ingredients and food items according to food safety standards and follow the guidance of the executive or pastry chef.
• Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation.
• Support in staff training and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The individual must have the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the job's essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Proficient computer skills (Particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT asset management, inventory control, or related IT support role.
• Proven experience in IT asset management, inventory control, or related IT support roles.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience working with asset management systems and tracking tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple locations.
• Willingness and ability to travel monthly to Detroit.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with ITIL or asset lifecycle management best practices.
• Experience supporting multi-site environments.
• Knowledge of hardware deployment, imaging, and decommissioning processes.
• Hybrid role involving both office-based work in Boston and regular on-site support in Detroit.
• Monthly travel required to Detroit.
• May involve occasional lifting and handling of IT equipment
