Job Description

We are looking for an IT Engagement Specialist to bridge business and IT, partnering with stakeholders to understand their operational, tactical and strategic needs, and translate them into effective IT solutions.

The role combines stakeholder engagement, IT infrastructure coordination, project management, service delivery, compliance and technology adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand IT needs and align solutions with business and corporate priorities.
• Communicate IT updates, policies, security requirements and user guidance clearly and effectively.
• Coordinate IT initiatives, process improvements, compliance matters, budgets and operational requirements.
• Lead and manage IT solution implementations independently, from planning through delivery.
• Act as the key liaison between users, business teams, and IT divisions.
• Monitor IT service requests and ensure issues and tickets are followed up appropriately.
• Support stakeholders in adopting IT services, policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Drive cybersecurity awareness and promote effective use of IT resources.
• Conduct Proof-of-Concept activities with vendors and ITSS teams to assess emerging technologies and support digitalization initiatives.
• Keep up to date with new IT technologies and strategies through courses, seminars and industry events.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Possess general IT Infrastructure & technical knowledge including basic knowledge of network setup and infrastructure.
• Ability to propose and coordinate IT solutions such as Virtual Machines and data storage systems.
• Familiarity with IT systems, platforms and data centre operations supporting corporate services.
• Understanding of IT service desk processes and ticket management.
• Familiarity with IT service offerings and ability to translate business needs into appropriate IT requirements.
• Understanding of IT policies and the Whole of System Register.
• Ability to support business compliance with IT policies, standards, procedures and guidelines, including End-user Acceptable Use Policies.
• Strong collaboration skills, comfortable in a highly interactive, stakeholder-facing role with strong people skills.
• Proactive, adaptable and able to work effectively in a changing environment.
• Able to build trust and serve as a reliable single point of contact.
• Passionate about technology, cybersecurity awareness and driving adoption of new IT initiatives.
