Install, maintain and repair a variety of wired and wireless electronic, communication and computerized systems and devices; develop, implement and adhere to preventative maintenance schedules and perform technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to: access control, public address, security, fire alarm and station alerting, two-way radio and automated door systems.

Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in electronics engineering, information systems, or computer science; and
One (1) year of experience in any combination of the following areas: installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing low voltage systems down to component level, wired and wireless communication systems, serial communications, Local Area Network (LAN) equipment and theory of operation along with experience with a variety of computer platforms, software applications and operating systems.
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License,or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Must be able to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as determined by the criteria set forth by the policies and guidelines of the Aviation Department and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs & Border Protection, if applicable.
Field environment; travel from site to site; exposure to electrical energy, inclement weather conditions.
Indoor and outdoor environment; travel from site to site; exposure to electrical and radiant energy, low voltage, noise, dust, grease, fumes, moving objects, inclement weather conditions; work or inspect in confined spaces; work on slippery or uneven surfaces; work at heights on scaffolding and ladders; work with machinery.
