Function

Join Elia Group as an IT Domain Architect and help shape the digital backbone of Europe’s energy infrastructure.

In this high-impact role, you will drive the evolution of the Asset IT landscape, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and future-ready to support critical grid operations. Acting as a trusted advisor and hands‑on architect, you will bridge business and technology, translating strategic asset management goals into robust, innovative IT solutions that enable reliable and sustainable energy delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business strategy into actionable IT roadmaps and architecture blueprints
  • Define and govern architecture principles, standards, and design decisions
  • Present and defend architectural solutions in governance forums
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and sustainability of IT solutions across their lifecycle
  • Manage and optimize the Asset application and product portfolio
  • Identify opportunities for simplification, reuse, and cost efficiency
  • Support solution architects to align delivery with domain strategy
  • Conduct trade-off analyses to guide strategic and investment decisions
  • Develop forward-looking domain roadmaps aligned with industry evolution
  • Ensure compliance with data, integration, security, and regulatory requirements

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in IT, including a minimum of 5 years in architecture
  • Profound knowledge of TOGAF, ArchiMate, Gartner TIME, 6R framework and architecture modelling
  • Hands-on experience with Domain-Driven Design and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect is a plus
  • Strong communicator, able to engage and influence both business and technical stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on scalability, resilience, and long-term value
  • Collaborative leader working across architecture and delivery teams
  • Comfortable driving decisions within governance frameworks
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in architectural assessments
  • Background in energy, utilities, or asset-intensive environments is a strong asset
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of French, Dutch and/or German is a plus.
