The Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) promotes a unified approach to information technology management and provides centralized administration of services for departments and agencies within the executive branch of state government.

Agency Services is responsible for delivering all technology solutions to our state agency partners—and by extension, to Michigan’s citizens, tourists, and business clients. This support spans the full lifecycle of technology solutions, from development through ongoing maintenance and operational support.

This position functions as a Business Relationship Manager (BRM) within an Agency Services team of technology professionals supporting the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). LARA is the principal executive department responsible for business regulation, professional licensing, and consumer protection across the State of Michigan. The BRM role supporting LARA is responsible for leading a division of highly skilled team members in support of the development, maintenance, operations, and long-range planning for all LARA IT business solutions and services.

Position Location/Remote Office: The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out-of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

Two years of experience as a professional manager or program/staff specialist, or equivalent
experience.
