The Group comprises four business units: Audio (Bosch, Electro‑Voice, Dynacord, RTS, Telex), IQSIGHT Video Systems, Radionix Intrusion & Access, and Keenfinity Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS).

Within our Business Unit IQSIGHT, we are looking for a Head of Digital Transformation & IT who will lead the evolution of our digital and IT landscape as a critical enabler of our business strategy.

This role is a hands-on IT leadership position, initially focused primarily on the application and digital layers of the technology stack. It owns how technology supports our operating model, growth ambitions, and business capabilities as we continue to transform from a centrally delivered group IT model to a part- independent, fit-for-purpose IT landscape supporting the IQSIGHT business in developing into an independent entity while remaining actively involved in and owning delivery.

The focus is on building a scalable, future-ready IT architecture and digital foundation that enables:

  • Master Data management and business analytics
  • Commercial business execution (CRM, CPQ, Customer Journey, business model logic)
  • Operational execution (R&D, technical service)
  • Service delivery

In the short term, a key task will be to jointly define and implement our application portfolio and target architecture for IQSIGHT in collaboration with the Keenfinity Group IT. Mid to long term, this role ensures our Business Unit has a clear, independent, sustainable and strategically driven digital backbone.

  • Ensure technology decisions are driven by business outcomes — not system constraints or technical ambition.

Portfolio Ownership

Define and structure our application portfolio.

Clarify and qualify with the functional business owners:

  • Which capabilities we need
  • Which systems support them
  • Where differentiation is required
  • Where standardization is beneficial

Ensure our landscape remains:

  • Coherent
  • Maintanable
  • Scalable
  • Free of local fragmentation

Business Capability Enablement

Translate our strategy into the required capabilities.

Ensure our digital setup supports:

  • Product lifecycle execution
  • Commercial processes
  • Service models
  • Installed base transparency

Digital and IT Leadership in IQSIGHT

Act as technology leader in the BU leadership team.

Manage key vendors and third-party partners. Establish appropriate governance for delivery cadence and IT operations

Drive decision-making in the digital area including technical feasibility, trade-offs, long-term architecture decision implications.

Execution Oversight

Oversee initiatives impacting:

  • Operations
  • Commercial workflows
  • Cross-system execution

Team and budget responsibility

Own the IT budge, build and lead a small dynamic team of 4-5 IT professionals to own and maintain the IQSIGHT digital back bone including:

  • Solution product owners (Sales Force CRM and Service Cloud, Frontend)
  • MDM owner and analyst
  • End 2 End architect

Qualifications

Qualifications

The role requires an individual capable of operating at executive level in a multinational company while also working day-to-day with a small, specialist IT team. It is not a strategic or advisory CIO role but offers a clear opportunity to develop into a broader CIO remit over time.

Education: Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in senior IT leadership roles (e.g. Head of IT, IT Director, Senior Technology Leader).
  • Proven experience leading IT transformation, carve-outs, or stand-up environments.
  • Strong background in application ownership and enterprise systems, rather than purely infrastructure-led roles.
  • Experience working in global or multi-site organizations.
  • Industry experience in B2B product, engineering, or manufacturing environments is advantageous.

Competencies:

  • Application strategy, IT transformation, and vendor management.
  • Enterprise Architecture concepts and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, ArchiMate), applied pragmatically.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM platforms, systems integration, and digital applications.
  • Ability to balance hands-on delivery with senior-level governance and decision-making.

Soft Skills:

  • Credible executive-level communicator who can also engage effectively with technical teams.
  • Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with strong commercial judgement.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, evolving environments.
  • Able to balance structure and control with speed and flexibility.
  • Trusted advisor mindset and strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Systematic, structured, and fact-based thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in constructive conflict and advocate for the best solution.

Languages Excellent written and spoken English skills, German or Deutch preferred.
