Ensure the streamlined operation of the IT department in alignment with CSMI business objectives. Plan, coordinate, direct and design IT-related activities, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities. Collaborate with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. Define and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices.
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Lead the department’s operational and strategic planning.
2. Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems.
3. Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
4. Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
5. Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
6. Keep current with the latest technologies.
7. Manage financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting and budget review.
8. Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
9. Approve and oversee projects and project portfolio.
10. Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision.
11. Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer and consultant contracts and service agreements.
12. Direct and/or maintain the development of asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field required.
• Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent preferred.
• Five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for management (direct or indirect) of the IT Department personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
