• Hands-on experience in digital operations, IT support or physical IT infrastructure who can work independently, take ownership and keep things moving across a large and dynamic market that includes a store, connected smaller business units and new openings.
• Has solid practical experience working with hardware, workplace technology, Windows environments, basic networks, mobile telephony, digital foundation products or similar physical IT infrastructure;
• Is comfortable using modern digital tools and has a good level of AI literacy, with curiosity to understand how emerging technologies can support daily operations and better ways of working;
• Understands how reliable digital products and services support co-workers, customers and business continuity, even without deep previous knowledge of the IKEA business;
• Is confident prioritising, troubleshooting and resolving operational issues in a structured way, balancing urgency, impact and available resources;
• Works with a high level of autonomy, taking responsibility for planning, follow-up and execution while knowing when to involve the right stakeholders;
• Is available to support the business through a rotational duty schedule, helping ensure continuity and timely response when needed;
• Communicates clearly with technical teams, business stakeholders and external partners, making complex topics easy to understand and act on;
• Has a service-minded and customer-focused approach, with energy for solving problems, improving ways of working and supporting people in their everyday work;
• Is curious, adaptable and willing to learn the IKEA digital landscape, standards and ways of working. Formal certifications or specific courses are welcome, but not a requirement.

A day in your life with us

As a Country Digital Operations Specialist, you help secure stable, reliable and user-friendly digital operations across a large market. You support not only a store, but also the smaller business units connected to it, keeping digital foundation products running and helping new openings succeed from a project coordination point of view. This role requires frequent travel between sites to stay close to the business, understand local needs and provide hands-on support where it is needed. You act as a trusted point of contact between stores, connected units, service office teams, global functions and external partners. You will work within IKEA standards and frameworks, while being expected to take ownership and make practical decisions that support the business locally.
• Own and follow up the lifecycle of digital foundation assets across the store and connected business units, ensuring that equipment, documentation and operational needs are kept under control;
• Provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting and coordination for digital products and services used by co-workers in the store and connected smaller business units, including Windows devices, basic network connectivity, mobile telephony and workplace technology;
• Travel frequently between sites to support stores and connected business units, follow up local needs and stay close to operational reality;
• Coordinate and support local implementations, rollouts, changes and new openings by aligning stakeholders, vendors and technical teams to deliver practical and standardised solutions;
• Contribute to new store or unit opening projects from a digital operations perspective, helping to plan activities, track dependencies, follow up actions and ensure readiness before go-live;
• Support the business through a rotational duty schedule, responding to operational needs, coordinating actions and helping minimise disruption to co-workers and customers;
• Use modern digital tools, including AI-enabled solutions where relevant, to simplify communication, structure information and improve support for daily operations and project coordination;
• Identify risks, recurring issues and improvement opportunities, then take initiative to prevent interruptions and improve the digital experience for co-workers and customers;
• Plan and prioritise your work independently, adapting to business needs while keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.
