A Day in the Life

The Africa and Central & Eastern Europe (ACEE) region is on an exciting growth journey, with a clear ambition to grow by 9% through FY30. This growth is fuelled by commercial transformation, digital innovation, and the smart application of AI and technology at scale. As IT Digital Lead ACEE, you will sit at the heart of this journey. Part of the IT EurAsia organization, this role offers a unique opportunity to partner closely with regional commercial leaders and turn strategy into impact. You will help shape and deliver digital and AI‑enabled solutions that directly support market growth, improve customer engagement, and accelerate value creation across 76 countries.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Partners closely with Africa and Central & Eastern Europe Region Led Markets (N3) to ensure deep understanding of business needs and objectives across new and existing transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborates with the Regional Digital & AI Commercial Transformation Leader to accelerate value delivery through technology.
  • Drives digital product innovation, including the ideation, creation, and lifecycle management of new digital products and solutions.
  • Owns and governs the IT portfolio, serving as IT liaison for prioritization, investment decisions, and return on investment management.
  • Ensures alignment between IT strategy and business decision makers across Regions, Functions, and Enablers.
  • Orchestrates IT products and services end to end to effectively support and enable business objectives, acts as a catalyst for business–IT convergence, maximizing enterprise value and outcomes.
  • Shares joint accountability for Region, Function, and Enabler goals, driving collective success.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to build trusted partnerships with commercial leaders in complex, multi‑country environments
  • Clear and confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and connect with diverse stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and hands‑on interest in using AI tools to improve ways of working and create meaningful business impact.
  • Experience in IT portfolio management, including prioritization, investment discussions, and value realization.
  • Ability to work across regions and functions, valuing collaboration, inclusion, and different perspectives.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken, fluent Polish language would be an advantage.

Experience contributing to or leading IT strategy execution aligned with business priorities and transformation goals. Experience driving Digital and AI initiatives and digital product innovation from idea to delivery, with support from cross‑functional teams. Brings fresh, out of the box thinking combined with a pragmatic, results driven approach. Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills, with a collaborative approach and shared accountability for outcomes.

Pay range / Rango salarial / Intervalo salarial /Fascia retributiva / Tranche de salaire / Gehaltsband / Salaribereik: Poland: 208,480.00 PLN - 312,720.00 PLN | This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
