IT DevOps Engineer II, Full Time, First Shift

The DevOps Engineer Integrates security controls into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automatioin processes to support DevSecOps practices, and is responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, system integrations, and operational tooling across the healthcare organization. This role partners with infrastructure, cybersecurity, application, and clinical technology teams to improve reliability, scalability, security, deployment velocity, and operational efficiency.

The DevOps Engineer supports healthcare digital transformation initiatives by enabling infrastructure automation, cloud adoption, monitoring, observability, configuration management, and continuous integration/continuous deployment practices while ensuring compliance with healthcare security and regulatory standards.

Infrastructure Automation & DevOps Engineering:

  • Designs, implements, and supports infrastructure automation solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Develops and maintains CI/CD pipelines to support application deployment, testing, and release automation.
  • Implements Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using approved enterprise tooling and standards.
  • Supports containerization technologies and orchestration platforms for modern application hosting.
  • Automates operational tasks, server provisioning, configuration management, patching, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborates with application, infrastructure, and security teams to improve deployment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Supports enterprise cloud initiatives including hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Develops reusable automation frameworks, scripts, and templates.

Platform Operations & Monitoring:

  • Maintains enterprise monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability platforms.
  • Supports high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and resiliency strategies for enterprise systems.
  • Troubleshoots infrastructure, deployment, and application performance issues across enterprise environments.
  • Participates in incident response, root cause analysis, and operational improvement activities.
  • Monitors system performance, capacity, reliability, and operational health.
  • Supports operational readiness and production deployment validation activities.
  • Works closely with cybersecurity teams to support vulnerability remediation, secure configurations, and compliance requirements.

Collaboration & Project Support:

  • Partners with developers, infrastructure engineers, cybersecurity teams, clinical application teams, and operational stakeholders on enterprise initiatives.
  • Participates in Agile, DevOps, and project management activities supporting healthcare technology modernization.
  • Assists with platform migrations, cloud transformations, application modernization, and automation initiatives.
  • Supports release management, change management, and deployment governance processes.
  • Provides technical guidance and operational support during implementations and upgrades.
  • Participates in architecture and design discussions to ensure operational supportability and scalability.

Documentation & Standards:

  • Maintains technical documentation for automation workflows, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Develops and maintains deployment standards, operational runbooks, and support documentation.
  • Documents system integrations, cloud configurations, and infrastructure dependencies.
  • Participates in operational policy, governance, and standards development.
  • Creates reports and dashboards related to operational health, automation maturity, and deployment performance.

Other Duties as Assigned

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
  • 5–8 years of progressive IT infrastructure, systems engineering, cloud, automation, or DevOps experience.

Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education where appropriate.

  • Azure AI Engineer,
  • HashiCorp Certified:
  • Terraform Associate
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator(CKA)
  • GitHub Actions Certification
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
