Your Role:

  • Design and develop new business software applications.
  • Design and develop program improvements, modifications, and enhancements to existing software applications.
  • Perform coding, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Design and develop database schemas.
  • Utilize source code management software.
  • Develop test plans to perform application testing and verify compliance with business requirements.
  • Perform comprehensive testing to evaluate, analyze, and verify new or modified software programs.
  • Work closely with helpdesk and QA teams to resolve issues and provide support to end users.
  • Research and run tests to address end-user reported issues escalated from the helpdesk.
  • Perform data updates to end-user data as required.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for software applications.
  • Understand business application workflows and processes and provide input into application design efforts.
  • Provide support for the help desk and user community as required.
  • Perform data management and update activities.
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve application and user issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience performing similar software development, application development, or analyst duties.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a development team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Knowledge of information security practices for end-user and corporate data.
  • Familiarity with use cases and test scripts.
  • Familiarity with ERP functional areas, including Sales, Invoicing, Cash Receipts, Purchasing, Receiving, and Inventory Management. Some familiarity with Accounts Payable and manufacturing is a plus.

Systems (hardware, software, computer, etc.):

  • MS SQL Server, including scripting and Integration Services.
  • C# for both Web and Windows development.
  • APIs.
  • Web services (RESTful).
  • Client-side frameworks such as Blazor, Angular, or React.
  • Azure DevOps.
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Scrum and Agile methodologies.
  • WPF.

Physical Demands:

  • Observations Acuity encompasses dealing with and preparing graphics, utilizing a computer terminal or other such technology where the work is at a close distance to the eyes.
