Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an IT strategy aligned with the business goals of the insurance brokerage.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of software systems, platforms, and infrastructure to meet business requirements and improve processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data protection laws, and cybersecurity standards within the insurance sector.
- Collaborate with senior management to assess technology needs and recommend solutions to improve operational effectiveness.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, encouraging continuous growth and promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts to optimize technology investments and achieve cost-effective solutions.
- Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard critical IT operations.
- Analyze emerging technologies and trends relevant to insurance brokerage and recommend adoption where beneficial.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
- Proven experience as an IT Director or in a senior IT leadership role within the insurance, insure-tech and reinsurance industry.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance processes, regulations, and technology solutions specific to insurance brokers.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance requirements within the insurance domain.
- Proficient in overseeing IT infrastructure, software development, cloud computing, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align technology initiatives with business goals and drive organizational growth.
