Job Description

The IT Desktop Technician II under strict supervision, performs configuration, installation and/or repairs of PC hardware and peripherals according to established procedures.

  • Pay Rate: Up to $26.74/hour, depending on experience.
  • Assignment Length: 3-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
  • Shift Details: Monday – Friday |8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Configure, set up, and troubleshoot PC hardware, laptops, and peripheral equipment for special requests and standard user needs.
  • Work directly with users to define requirements and transfer data when needed.
  • Serve as an expert helper for desktop support teammates on hardware issues and coordinate with external repair vendors when equipment breaks.
  • Strictly follow and enforce company security policies, safety standards, and software licensing guidelines.
  • Keep an eye on incoming support tickets to ensure timely resolution.

Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+ certification (or equivalent experience) plus 2+ years in a PC hardware setup and support role.
  • Hands-on experience using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot to image, configure, deploy, and manage Windows PCs and security policies.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for PC hardware and connected devices.
  • High proficiency with M365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a clear dedication to customer service.
  • A proactive approach to finding solutions and fixing issues quickly.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, juggle multiple tasks, and hit deadlines with a sense of urgency.
