Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Demand Manager to oversee the end-to-end demand management process, ensuring business needs are effectively captured, prioritized, and aligned with organizational strategy and IT capabilities. The ideal candidate will serve as the key link between business stakeholders and IT, driving informed decision-making and enabling successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the IT demand intake process, ensuring requests are captured, evaluated, and processed efficiently.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for IT initiatives and services.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate the IT demand pipeline, roadmap, and backlog.
  • Facilitate demand prioritization sessions with business and IT leaders to align initiatives with strategic objectives, available capacity, and business value.
  • Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, application, and delivery teams to assess solution feasibility, effort estimates, resource requirements, and implementation timelines.
  • Monitor and manage the demand backlog, ensuring requests progress through governance and approval processes in a timely manner.
  • Prepare dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to provide visibility into demand status, priorities, and portfolio health.
  • Ensure all demand requests comply with enterprise architecture principles, IT governance policies, and organizational standards.
  • Support investment planning and portfolio decision-making through business case analysis and value assessments.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to demand management processes, tools, and governance.
  • Work closely with the PMO, project managers, and delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from approved demand to project initiation and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT Demand Management, IT Portfolio Management, Business Analysis, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, project portfolio management, and demand management best practices.
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and prioritization sessions.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with demand management, PPM, or ITSM platforms is an advantage.
