As an IT & Data Project Manager, you lead medium‑complexity IT and Data initiatives that deliver measurable business value. You manage projects across the full lifecycle using the 5D framework (Discover, Define, Design, Develop, Deliver), transforming feasibility studies into robust business cases and ensuring delivery aligns with value, budget, and quality expectations. You operate in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and business domains.
1. Project Lifecycle & Business Case Ownership
Ensure technical and data solutions meet business requirements throughout the 5D lifecycle. (Discover, Define, Design, Develop, Deliver)
Translate feasibility studies into detailed business cases, including scope, KPIs, risks, and value metrics.
Define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria for IT and Data products.
Oversee project closure, handover to line management, and documentation of lessons learned.
2. Hybrid Project Execution
Manage medium‑complexity IT or Data projects with significant technological and organisational impact.
Maintain structured milestones, stage‑gates, and budget control while supporting iterative Agile delivery.
Monitor progress, manage risks, and adjust plans to ensure alignment with time, budget, and quality.
Ensure compliance with project governance standards and create risk awareness among stakeholders.
3. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Functionally lead and coach project team members to ensure optimal deployment and collaboration.
Facilitate stakeholder engagement to ensure needs, expectations, and concerns are identified and addressed.
Provide input for performance appraisals of project team members.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
4. Change Management & Continuous Improvement
Execute change and communication management activities.
Identify internal PMO process issues and propose innovative improvements.
Promote continuous improvement in project management practices within the IT & Data organisation.
5. Supplier & Partner Management
Assess, select, and manage external suppliers and partners based on project requirements.
Ensure contractual obligations, delivery quality, and performance standards are met.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Data, or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of PMBOK or PRINCE2.
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum; SAFe experience is a plus.
Familiarity with structured lifecycle frameworks (5D or similar).
3–5 years of experience managing IT or Data projects in a multinational environment.
Proven ability to translate business feasibility into technical backlogs.
Experience managing budgets up to and beyond €250k and project durations of 6–12 months.
Experience with cross-functional and multi disciplinary projects.
Strong analytical mindset and ability to measure success against business cases.
Excellent communication skills; able to translate technical concepts into business language.
Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams without hierarchical authority.
Strong risk management and problem‑solving capabilities.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
