The position is responsible for the smooth operation and continuous improvement of the IT landscape across our European locations. This includes overseeing the implementation and maintenance of IT systems at our headquarters and supporting remote employees. Approximately 40–50% of the role focuses on level 3–4 support and projects related to Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision), while the remaining time is spent on infrastructure and systems-related topics.
The position reports directly to the European Controller (solid line) and the VP of IT (dotted line) and has two direct reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Operations
Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT systems and processes.
Establish user needs and system functionality in alignment with organizational strategy and policy.
Design, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.
Ensure cost effectiveness in line with budgets.
Coordinate with global IT counterparts, where applicable.
Team & Vendor Management
Manage internal and external IT staff.
Act as the first point of contact for supplier management and contracts.
Infrastructure & Security
Ensure the security of data, network access, and backup systems.
Monitor system performance and proactively address issues.
ERP & Application Support
Provide second- and third-line support to users.
Represent IT in business projects.
Lead and manage IT-related projects.
Support and improve Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) and CRM usage and configuration.
End-User Enablement
Help and educate employees on system usage to enhance user experience.
Knowledge and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
3–5 years of technical experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) and CRM systems, including support and customization.
3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and end-user support.
Solid understanding of IT systems in manufacturing environments.
Experience leading IT staff or projects in a fast-paced setting.
Strong customer relationship management and communication skills.
Fluent in both Dutch and English.

Location requirement
This is a full-time, on-site role based at our headquarters in Vlaardingen, the Netherlands. Candidates must be located within commuting distance or willing to relocate. Remote work is not routine for this position due to the hands-on nature of the support required.
