Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide user support as needed.
  • Perform monthly FTAs and track countermeasures.
  • Monitor security and event logs monthly and document issues.
  • Maintain updated copy of software licenses and contact info for disaster recovery.
  • Manage and track company software discs and storage.
  • Update instant support and support ticket logs as required.
  • Manage system upgrade projects as scheduled.
  • Track and maintain inventory and assets
  • Monitor firewall logs and investigate potential intrusions or errors
  • Monitor virus and threat messages on servers and workstations and remove any that are found. Countermeasure required.
  • Daily server performance monitoring and tracking
  • Perform monthly server maintenance tasks
  • Update Time tracking as required.
  • Ensure that cables and IT equipment are neat and tidy in all production and office areas
  • Ensure that office and server room areas are neat and orderly before leaving for the day
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Attend IT safety and 3S audits.
  • Attend dock audit for quality once per quarter
  • Comply with the applicable HSE, environment and Health rules.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual: English/Spanish.
  • Solid analytical and communication (oral & written) skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and capabilities of computer systems, including networked environments and peripheral devices.
  • Knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) principles.
  • Knowledge of local system access and security guidelines and procedures. Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange server 2003 configuration and maintenance. Knowledge of server virtualization - VSphere
  • Knowledge of data management and backup processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting techniques. Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications and personal computers, and other software applications that are unique to each department.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of ethical and professional rules of conduct.
  • Skill in using advanced tools for monitoring and troubleshooting network and servers, equipment and procedures for repairing computers, peripheral devices, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Skill in exercising judgment to apply effective troubleshooting procedures for computer systems in a multiple operating system environment.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with department staff.
  • Skill in following and effectively communicating verbal and written instructions. Advanced skill in organization and time management principles.
  • Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands.
  • Skill in working independently and as a member of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information Technology, Computer Engineering, or other IT Related Field; or Equivalent
  • 3 experienced year in IT field.
