Are you a problem-solver who enjoys working with computers, troubleshooting technical issues, and helping others succeed? Gibbs Die Casting Corporation is looking for an IT Computer Technician to support our team by keeping workstations, computer systems, and network-connected equipment running reliably and securely. In this hands-on role, you’ll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain and upgrade equipment, support Team Members with technology needs, and help protect our systems and company information.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot & Resolve: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, workstation, and peripheral issues to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
  • Install & Maintain: Install, configure, upgrade, repair, and maintain computers, operating systems, printers, and other network-connected equipment.
  • Support Our Team: Provide hands-on technical support, answer questions, and train Team Members on hardware and software applications.
  • Protect Our Systems: Follow company information security policies, maintain endpoint security, protect sensitive data, and promptly report potential security incidents.
  • Document & Organize: Maintain accurate help desk records, repair documentation, equipment inventories, and support procedures.
  • Collaborate & Improve: Work with departments and IT leadership to resolve technical issues, support network infrastructure, evaluate new technologies, and recommend improvements.
  • Follow Safety & Quality Standards: Maintain a clean and organized work area while following company safety, environmental, quality, and information security requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least six months of relevant experience in computer support, help desk, hardware, software, or network support.
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software installation, troubleshooting, and network-connected devices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to users with varying levels of computer knowledge.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures for system access, security, and documentation.
  • A willingness to learn new technologies, develop technical skills, and work collaboratively with the IT team.

Training & Certifications

Team Members must be willing to obtain the following training or certifications within the timeframe established by the company:

  • CompTIA A+
  • NFPA 70E arc flash training or certification
  • Aerial and scissor lift certification

Important Job Requirements

  • Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed to support business operations.
  • Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call coverage requirement.
  • Ability to meet the physical and environmental requirements of the position and follow all applicable safety procedures.
