Play a central role as IT Compliance Specialist

As our IT Compliance Specialist, you will help mature application compliance, improve lifecycle processes, and drive a strong compliance and governance mindset across IT and Bavarian Nordic.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide advisory and hands‑on execution for GxP-regulated IT systems across their lifecycle, including authoring of key validation deliverables (e.g. Validation plans, Risk assessments, Protocols, Validation reports)
  • Maintain and update CSV related procedures, ensuring regulatory alignment and effective understanding and application by all relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with IT, QA and business stakeholders to identify compliance gaps and drive improvement activities
  • Support quality processes by contributing to SOPs, Change Requests, Deviations, CAPA’s and other Continuous Improvement activities
  • Promote a strong culture of IT compliance through cross‑functional collaboration and knowledge sharing

About our IT Governance & Compliance team

You will be joining the IT Governance & Compliance team, a group of nine skilled professionals responsible for setting direction, maintaining governance frameworks, and providing hands-on support across three key areas: IT Compliance, IT Service Management, and IT Portfolio Management.

The broader IT department consists of almost 70 dedicated colleagues based in Denmark, the US, Switzerland and Germany and covering all aspects of IT Development & Operations.

Your base will be at our headquarters in Hellerup (Greater Copenhagen), and you will report directly to the Senior Manager, IT Governance & Compliance.

Are you our next pioneer?

To succeed in this role, we expect you to bring:

  • Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience with GxP IT compliance within the Life Sciences, MedTech, or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience from roles such as IT Compliance Specialist, IT QA, CSV Specialist, or similar, with a strong interest in compliance frameworks and process improvement
  • Solid working knowledge of CSV and application lifecycle practices, enabling you to balance regulatory requirements with practical, compliant system operation
  • Experience supporting colleges translating regulatory expectations into clear, actionable guidance for IT and business stakeholders

As a person you have:

  • Consultancy mindset – You’re able to understand complex business needs, translate them into actionable compliance guidance and proactively support internal teams. You’re confident in your advice and able to stand your ground when needed
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills – You can navigate a diverse stakeholder landscape and communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Pragmatic approach – You strike the right balance between compliance requirements and practical business realities, offering solutions that are both effective and workable
