Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive IT Communications & Digital Content Specialist to support the IT organization in delivering clear, engaging, and effective communications across internal and external digital channels.

Reporting to IT Management, you will play a key role in maintaining IT-related digital content, managing the IT intranet presence, and supporting strategic communication initiatives. This position requires an individual with excellent writing and editing skills, strong digital content management experience, and the ability to translate technical information into clear, user-friendly communications.

Key Responsibilities

Website & Intranet Content Management (Approximately 60%)

  • Manage, publish, and maintain IT-related content on the corporate intranet and other approved digital platforms.
  • Create and update content supporting IT strategy, initiatives, priorities, and organizational objectives.
  • Ensure content follows web best practices, accessibility guidelines, and current usability standards.
  • Regularly review website and intranet sections to ensure information remains accurate, relevant, and up to date.
  • Identify outdated or inconsistent content and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain metadata to optimize:
    • Search functionality
    • Email notifications
    • RSS feeds
  • Manage incoming requests submitted through the intranet and webmaster mailbox.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of publishing workflows, processes, and content governance.

Internal Communications Support (Approximately 40%)

  • Support IT Management in developing and delivering effective internal communications.
  • Understand IT strategy, priorities, and key initiatives to produce impactful communication materials.
  • Draft, edit, proofread, and publish communications for internal audiences.
  • Coordinate communication plans to ensure timely and consistent delivery of key messages.
  • Collaborate with communication colleagues to manage ad hoc communication requests.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on digital communication best practices and content quality.
  • Support communication projects across the IT organization and wider business.
  • Utilize multiple internal communication channels while monitoring engagement and effectiveness through appropriate tracking mechanisms.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Information Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in digital communications, internal communications, web content management, or a similar role.
  • Experience managing corporate intranet or website content using Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong editing, proofreading, and content structuring skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical information for diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to content quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting IT or technology organizations.
  • Knowledge of digital communication strategies and content governance.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards and usability principles.
  • Experience with analytics and communication performance reporting.
  • Knowledge of collaboration platforms such as SharePoint or similar enterprise communication tools.
