As the IT Business Solutions Manager, you will guide the technological direction for key business units, including Inventory Planning, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and Merchandising Acting as a strategic partner, you will support the delivery of scalable IT solutions that enable modernization and enhance operational performance.
This role blends leadership of major technology projects with responsibility for ongoing system support and operational stability. You will oversee the planning and execution of new initiatives while ensuring existing systems remain reliable, well maintained, and continuously improved. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, you will ensure solutions are aligned with business priorities and delivered effectively.

  • Lead and manage the delivery of technology solutions across both project-based initiatives and day-to-day production support, ensuring alignment with business priorities and operational needs.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs, support prioritization, and act as a trusted advisor across end-to-end retail processes.
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of projects and system enhancements, including software implementations, integrations, and system design.
  • Lead and coach a technical team, providing direction, development, and performance management to support strong delivery across both project and support activities.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers, managing contracts, SLAs, and overall vendor performance.
  • Contribute to the development of technology strategies and roadmaps that support modernization and evolving capabilities across Inventory Planning, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and Merchandising.
  • Serve as Solution Owner for key technologies and participate in operational and project governance forums.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to enhance systems and processes.
  • Support the Director, Business Solutions, with broader IT initiatives and organizational priorities.
We’re looking for:
  • Ten years of progressive experience in IT, including both project delivery and application/system support, with at least three years in a leadership role; retail experience is an asset.
  • Post secondary education in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Proven ability to partner with business leaders to deliver and maintain impactful technology solutions that support modernization and operational efficiency.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging and influencing senior leadership.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and experience building complex, cross functional technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, development, and performance management of technical teams across both IT projects and operational support.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise and retail technology platforms, including Microsoft technologies (such as Dynamics 365), Oracle, and related systems.
  • Experience with retail systems, cloud technologies, integration tools, or analytics platforms (e.g., POS systems, Azure, API management, Power BI) is considered an asset.
  • Experience managing external vendors and service providers, including operational contracts, SLAs, performance management, budgeting, and invoicing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across both project and support work.
  • Comfort operating at both strategic and executional levels with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.

  • The expected starting salary range for this role is $95,000 - $142,500; the final offer will reflect relevant skills and experience.
