Job Description

Statement

Within Global IT at Ottobock, you will play an active role in shaping how modern warehouse management processes are digitally mapped and continuously improved in an internationally growing company. Our global logistics center is located in Duderstadt and is an important point of connection for your role. Through close collaboration with our logistics colleagues, you will gain valuable insights into operational workflows and optimize processes right where they originate. At the same time, we offer you the possibility of mobile working.

You are the central point of contact for Warehouse Management, advising our business departments as an equal partner and contributing your technical and process expertise — with the clear goal of making our operations future-ready, particularly in the context of the S/4HANA transformation.

Are you eager to dive deep into SAP WM, understand integrated processes, and actively improve them? Then become part of our strong team of 10 and help shape the digital future of logistics at Ottobock!

Duties & Responsibilities

  • You advise and support our business departments (especially logistics) in analyzing, designing, and continuously optimizing end-to-end processes in the SAP environment.
  • You design and implement solutions in SAP — particularly in the WM module as well as adjacent MM areas — considering our global requirements.
  • You support and further develop related logistics systems and solutions, including global label management and mobile data capture.
  • You are responsible for implementing requirements in the context of changes, rollouts, and projects, including customizing and documentation.
  • You manage (sub-)projects in the logistics environment and coordinate internal and external project stakeholders.
  • You collaborate closely with adjacent areas such as production, materials management, sales, BPM, and IT architecture to ensure end-to-end process integration.
  • You actively support the migration and further development of our processes as part of the SAP S/4HANA transformation.
  • You ensure that all relevant process documentation and training materials are up to date and practical.
  • Occasional business travel is part of your role for coordination with international locations and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • You hold a degree in (business) informatics, business administration, or a comparable qualification.
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in the SAP environment — ideally with a focus on WM, MM, or related modules.
  • You have solid knowledge in designing and implementing procurement processes as well as a strong understanding of logistics interdependencies and integrated processes.
  • Initial experience with SAP S/4HANA is an advantage.
  • You work in a structured and solution-oriented manner and enjoy contributing your own ideas.
  • You communicate confidently in German (min. C1) and English (min. C1), both written and spoken.
  • You enjoy working in an international environment and value collaboration across different disciplines.

Benefits

  • Attractive compensation including a variable component and 30 days of vacation
  • Flexible and family-friendly working time models with the option of mobile working
  • Individual development opportunities via the Ottobock learning portal and external training
  • Modern IT equipment and an innovative project environment with plenty of creative freedom
  • Corporate benefits, bike leasing, health programs, and much more
  • A collaborative, international team with open exchange and a shared passion for excellent processes
