IT Business Partner – Cd. Juarez

Focus Activities

  • Manages the relationship with the assigned business/function and serves as the interface between the business and the IT organization on a regional and global basis
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IT infrastructure located in the factory
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to coordinate support during non-working hours
  • Develop Division/Region/function IT strategy and IT budget according to business strategy and alignment with IT governance and impacted CoEs
  • Manages ongoing Business relationship management (incl. status and KPI reporting, escalations, budget topics)
  • Identifying, evaluating and gathering business needs and determining solutions to business problems and/or options for improving business systems
  • Ensuring the effective use of information systems to meet the needs of the business (heavy dependency on SAP capabilities and functions in a manufacturing and logistics setting)
  • Providing consultancy for business challenges/situations – proactively engaging and participating in workshops and meetings with business stakeholders to identify where processes can be streamlined, automated or improved through IT tools and technology.
  • Ongoing support of development activities and maintenance of tools
  • Support BU functions with new process development / enhancement opportunities
  • Living the ownership culture by taking responsibility as the IT demand manager for the EP Cd. Juarez factories
  • Support product owner to write user stories and prioritize strategic demands that generate the maximum value and productivity
  • Seek opportunities to extract more value from the existing IT value centers, experts, and services that already exist
  • Promote local ownership and usage of the existing tools through training and documentation
  • Networking across the IT ecosystem to look for opportunities to benchmark best practices, reuse of existing IT services
  • Leverages deep process know how of business process for consultancy of process owner
  • Applies Technical Expertise on core technologies
  • Leads and oversees business-initiated IT Projects/Change requests and monitors their delivery in quality, time and budget
  • Acts as first point of contact for divisional Business Partner organizations for them to address global demands
  • Drives and coordinates global demands/projects in close collaboration with the regional Business Partner organizations
  • Manages internal and external software vendors and service providers, and associated contracts

· Provides direct leadership and coaching for local IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

· Oversee day-to-day activities, professional development, and resource utilization for the local IT team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategy.

Requirements and Competencies

  • Background in technology in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with SAP functionality in manufacturing and logistics environment
  • Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate internally at the factory as well as across cultures (US, Europe)
  • Ability to manage, refine, and prioritize multiple demands
  • Experience with infrastructure solution design, implementation, and service management
  • IT architectural understanding/competence
  • Spanish language required; English language skills required
  • Value oriented and result driven
  • IT demand engineering proficiency
  • Mastering difficult situations and working under time and quality pressure
  • At least 10 years of experience in working with business management
  • General knowledge of IT technologies (infrastructure, applications, information security, ERP)
  • Experience implementing off-the shelf third party solutions
  • Understanding of SCRUM-agile methodologies
