Information Systems Technology Services is a unified organization comprised of various departments which collaborate effectively in order to deliver high quality technology solutions. The Billing Modernization team resides within the Customer Systems & Solutions (CSS) group and is part of the Enterprise Platforms & Infrastructure group that supports IT projects, operations, risks & compliance. This team is in the midst of a large customer transformation journey with a main emphasis of modernizing and re-architecting our Billing and rates platforms.
Billing Modernization Background
PG&E is modernizing its billing systems to support evolving rate structures, programs, and customer needs. Known as PG&E’s Billing Modernization Initiative, the program will move customers to a unified customer care, service order, metering, and billing platform while minimizing disruption during the transition. The work is planned in three stages:
This complex challenge is anticipated to span 4 or more years from the restart of the C2M project through eventual production deployment and stabilization phases. We are seeking individuals to support the entirety of Stage 3 project, from project restart through delivery, as part of a unified Billing Modernization team.
Analyzes and proposes system solutions for the Line of Business and IT organizations. Acts as a strategic partner and business and technical liaison who understands business content, procedures, processes and systems that are included in the scope of the Billing Modernization program. Assembles, analyzes, and translates business requirements into detailed requirements and functional specifications. Performs feasibility analysis; develops project scope; provides recommendations on alternative solutions, project strategy and deliverable prioritization. Analyzes business needs and defines detailed requirements and validates solutions with the client. The successful candidate will be able to do analysis for Oracle’s Customer Care and Billing (CC&B), Customer to Meter (C2M), and various other meter-to-cash processes.
Note – we are looking for 2 candidates, specializing in the functional areas of either PG&E’s billing and rates calculation or customer experience, programs, and enrollment.
PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity,specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be around the minimum and the midpoint $128,000 - $173,000. The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Bay Area Min: $ 128,000
Bay Area Max: $ 218,000
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and our Oakland, CA office approximately 1 - 2 days per week, or more, based on business needs. The position also requires occasional travel/workshops at business locations, such as Stockton or San Ramon.
