Job Description

Build Smarter Operations with Gothic Landscape!

At Gothic Landscape, we don’t just build landscapes—we build systems that power how work gets done. As the largest family-owned commercial landscape company in the nation, our operations are complex, fast-moving, and deeply rooted in construction and field execution.

We’re looking for an IT Business Systems Analyst who understands how technology supports real-world operations—someone who can step into the field (conceptually and sometimes literally), translate operational challenges into system solutions, and drive meaningful improvements across our business.

This is not a generalist analyst role We’re seeking someone who has worked in or alongside construction, field service, or operational environments and knows how systems like ERP, CRM, or job costing platforms impact day-to-day execution.

What You’ll Do:

1) Bridge Construction Operations & Technology

  • Partner with teams across construction, field operations, finance, and IT
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements, system workflows, and technical specifications
  • Act as the primary liaison between field stakeholders and technical teams

2) Analyze & Improve Operational Workflows

  • Evaluate processes related to job costing, estimating, scheduling, dispatch, and project tracking
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend ERP-driven or system-based solutions
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and scalability

3) Lead Requirements & Documentation

  • Gather requirements via stakeholder interviews, workshops, and field engagement
  • Develop process maps, user stories, use cases, and system documentation
  • Ensure alignment between business needs and technical delivery

4) Support Systems (ERP / CRM / Field Service Platforms)

  • Support implementation and optimization of ERP, CRM, HRIS, or field service management systems
  • Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing), system configuration, and deployment
  • Partner with vendors and internal teams on integrations and enhancements

5) Drive Adoption & Training

  • Lead change management and user adoption efforts
  • Develop training materials and support end users in operational environments
  • Continuously improve usability and system effectiveness

6) Leverage Data & Reporting

  • Analyze operational data, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Support reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Translate data into actionable insights for leadership

Why This Role is Different:

This isn’t a sit-back-and-gather-requirements kind of role. You’ll be working directly with the teams that build, schedule, estimate, and execute real projects in the field—translating complex operational challenges into systems that actually make their jobs easier.

If you’ve ever been frustrated by systems that look good on paper but fail in the field, this is your opportunity to fix that. We’re looking for someone who:

  • Understands how construction or field operations actually work (not just in theory)
  • Can walk into a conversation about job costing, scheduling, or workflows and quickly connect the dots
  • Enjoys being the person who turns “this process is broken” into “here’s how we fix it”

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or IT Business Analyst
  • Direct experience supporting construction, field service, landscaping, utilities, or similar operational industries
  • Hands-on experience with at least one:
    • ERP systems (Vista, Sage, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.)
    • Field service or scheduling platforms
    • Job costing or project-based systems
  • Experience gathering and documenting functional and technical requirements

What Sets You Apart:

  • You understand how construction or field teams actually operate
  • You’ve supported systems tied to real-world execution—not just corporate workflows
  • You can move between technical conversations and operational realities with ease
  • You focus on solutions that work in the field, not just on paper

What's In It For You?

  • $40-$60/Hour (DOE)
  • 9 Paid Holidays
  • Paid Vacation & Paid Sick Time
  • Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) with Company Match

Why Gothic Landscape?

  • Industry leader in construction and landscape operations
  • High-impact role with visibility across operations and executive leadership
  • Opportunity to shape systems that directly impact field performance
  • Collaborative, grounded culture with real investment in technology
  • Equal Opportunity Employer
