We're hiring a Business Analyst at Merkle in Sofia.

The purpose of the role


We are looking for a Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. In this role, you will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to identify requirements, define solution scope, and ensure the successful delivery of digital products and software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.

  • Communicate directly with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into actionable solution specifications.

  • Define project scope, business processes, and product requirements.

  • Create, manage, and prioritise the business backlog based on business value.

  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, brainstorming sessions, and requirements discovery activities.

  • Ensure requirements traceability throughout the entire product lifecycle.

  • Collaborate closely with development, UX/UI, content, QA, and client management teams.

  • Support process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for optimisation and digital transformation.

  • Monitor the impact of implemented changes and recommend improvements where needed.

  • Provide pre-sales support, including effort estimation, solution scoping, proposal preparation, and resource planning.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and their impact on clients' businesses.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development, digital products, or technology projects.

  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and project management practices.

  • Experience eliciting and documenting requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Experience with business process modelling and requirements management tools.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce (Magento), Shopify, or similar solutions.

  • Basic understanding of software architecture and modern web technologies.

  • Experience working on digital transformation or enterprise software projects.
