Introduction: Hachette Australia is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our dynamic IT and Operational team on 18-month fixed-term, full-time contract. You will manage day-to-day VISTA (ERP) changes, support operational improvements, and coordinate small to medium-sized IT projects across the business.

You will work closely with stakeholders, vendors and technical teams to gather requirements, prepare system and EDI mapping documentation, coordinate testing activities and ensure successful delivery of business-critical solutions. About the role:

We are looking for a proactive IT Business Analyst to support business-critical ERP and operational systems while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business. This role is ideal for
someone who enjoys stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, business process analysis and coordinating small to medium-sized IT projects in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key stakeholder relationships: ADS and Hachette staff, external vendors, IT suppliers, developers, 3PL partners and business stakeholders.

About you:

An IT Business Analyst should be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working closely with stakeholders to support ERP systems, business process improvements and operational projects. The
successful candidate.

  • Should have experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping and supporting ERP platforms such as VISTA, SAP or similar business systems.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities including day-to-day system enhancements, operational support activities and small to medium-sized IT projects.
  • Should demonstrate strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into clear functional and technical documentation.
  • Should have experience preparing business requirements documents, systems design documentation and EDI/interface mapping documents.
  • Must be comfortable collaborating with business users, vendors, developers and IT teams through analysis, testing, deployment and implementation phases.
  • Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process
    improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Should be adaptable, dependable and capable of working independently while contributing within a collaborative team environment.
  • Needs to have a strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives.
