This position plays an important role in supporting City Council, Board and Commission, committee, executive, and other City meetings and events by ensuring audiovisual systems operate reliably before, during, and after meetings. Responsibilities include configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining AV hardware and software, conferencing systems, digital signage, kiosks, displays, and integrated control systems. Additional duties include providing technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for the City’s audiovisual (AV) systems and meeting technologies; assisting with the design, implementation, programming, and lifecycle management of AV technologies and serving as a technical resource to City departments for AV-related projects. An Associate’s degree or equivalent in information technology, audiovisual technology, electronics, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Two years of experience supporting professional audiovisual systems, conferencing technologies, or enterprise technology environments is also required. Experience with integrated AV systems, conferencing hardware and control systems, live meetings or events, and municipal government is beneficia. Duties involve access to sensitive Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS), which requires that a thorough background check be conducted. Candidates will be subject to a criminal history check and must not have any criminal conviction above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor or any Class B misdemeanor within the past 10 years; other convictions may also be considered.
