Job Description

IT & Audio Visual Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced AV Support Specialist to provide technical support and operational expertise for audiovisual systems, meeting spaces, and workplace technology environments. This role is responsible for maintaining AV infrastructure, troubleshooting complex issues, supporting live meetings and events, and ensuring a seamless user experience across conference rooms and collaboration spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for audiovisual systems, conferencing technologies, and workplace collaboration tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated AV issues quickly to minimize meeting and event disruptions
  • Install, configure, and maintain conference room technologies, including displays, projectors, video conferencing systems, microphones, speakers, and control systems
  • Support and administer AV platforms such as Crestron, Logitech, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and related technologies
  • Perform routine system testing, preventive maintenance, and firmware updates on AV equipment
  • Assist end users with conference room setup, meeting support, and live event technology needs
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to audio, video, control systems, networking, and room scheduling technologies
  • Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and external vendors to support AV deployments, upgrades, and system integrations
  • Participate in AV infrastructure projects, including room builds, technology refreshes, and equipment migrations
  • Document troubleshooting procedures, system configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Monitor AV system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and user experience

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Audiovisual Technology, Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting audiovisual systems, unified communications, or workplace technology environments
  • Hands-on experience with conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams
  • Strong understanding of AV signal flow, audio/video distribution, and troubleshooting methodologies
  • Experience supporting AV control systems, including Crestron, Microsoft Teams Room or similar platforms
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex AV and technology-related issues
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and presentation support skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with digital signage, room scheduling systems, and unified communications technologies
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
  • Experience with cloud-based device management platforms and collaboration technologies
  • Experience supporting executive meetings, town halls, and live events
